Nicola and Laura – sisters in business!
We opened in March 2004 after a year’s planning and haven’t looked back since. We grew up along the road in Benderloch and went our separate ways after school for a few years before deciding that this spot might possibly have the best view in the world and that lots of people couldn’t resist stopping here!
Nicola’s university degree in French & Hispanic Studies coupled with Laura’s Business Degree makes for an interesting combination at the café! We often have foreign visitors greatly appreciative of Nicola’s efforts in chatting to them in their native tongue whilst Laura is keeping a watchful eye on the books.
Castle Stalker View has really gone from strength to strength since opening. We won “Most Promising Newcomer” at the Highlands & Islands Business Awards in 2005, presented by John Major. We were also a Regional Finalist at the PSYBT Shell Livewire Awards the same year.
What really motivates us though is continually striving towards high quality for our customers. Over the years we have sourced some great suppliers for our café and will never compromise. We couldn’t have done this without our staff, especially Justine who has taken on the responsibility of running the kitchen and who loves cooking and experimenting!
